quick question: Is this a missing hose line?

hello guys i was looking at my engine and my bro in law(mechanic) told me it looks like this certain metal part below is missing a hose line or vaccum hose. I was wondering if someone knew what this is called and if it is suppose to be open or does it need a hose? looks like it goes to the fuel.

Yes I cannot see the picture as well. Try uploading the picture to a picture hosting website like photobucket or imageshack.

+1 - You definitely need to get that to a vacuum source before you drive the car.

From the intake manifold, there is a vacuum line with plastic loom twisted around it. You can see it in the pic. That should be going to the fuel pressure regulator.

5/32" vacuum hose is the same as 4mm hose and can be had at any local auto parts store
