Clean it up to begin with.

 

Do something about that nasty reservoir

 

Clean and clean alot. Different valve cover color. Get rid of the rubber intercooler pipes and the intake. A nice turbo kit would help. ETS,STM,Etc

Slap a big turbo with some nice headers that would be a dramatic face lift

 

Do a wire tuck, make or buy a new reservoir tank, and a lot of cleaning.

 

use degreaser on that reservoir and then just clean, clean, clean and just when you think your done clean some more and also like they said ^ big pretty turbo and header

Yes, a bit of Simple Green or similar product, rubber gloves & good old fashion elbow grease is in order

Simple Green to clean, Aluminum piping to replace all rubber hoses and crap, if you really want it to look great use Carbon Fiber piping. You should definitely change from a blue valve cover makes it look like a damn honda. You drive a Mitsu show it some Mitsu Red love . There are plenty of places that make replacement reservoirs and piping/tubing to dress up your engine.
