Wheels locking up?

My wheels (I think) locks up after being parked for > week. When I start it up and place in a gear, I have to give a good amount of gas before the wheels breaks free literally. You hear like a crack as if something was stuck together. I'm pretty sure it aren't the brakes. I know its an effect from long term parking. It drives fine afterwards and daily parking...until I parked it again for a week or so. With me having to park for a week or so occasionally, will this damage anything? How can I prevent this from happening besides having someone drive it around while I'm away?

Do you use your E-Brake? Is it cold and wet in your area?
Could be the e-brake sticking/frozen.

I do use ebrake, but I release it prior to pressing on accelerator. Also, I usually wash the car/dry car prior to parking in garage for the week. Yes, its between 30-45 degrees here.

Similar thing happens to me if I wash the car and park it in the garage without heating up the brakes to get them to dry. When I move out of the garage the next day the wheels tend to stick. Try driving the car around and do a couple hard stop to get some heat into them so they dry. Might help you out.

Same thing here. My e-brake has gotten frozen a couple times this winter as well. Just drive around the block after cleaning the car.

I'm pretty sure that its your e-brake sticking. Just for fun, park it in gear without the e-brake on and see what happens.

This is normal happens more after a wash. The car feels like its stuck. Give a fairly loud clunk when u get it to break free, its normal.
