I'm having trouble finding an EVO in my area, just wondering if you bought yours private party or from a dealer.

Dealer, terrible/decent deal considering I didn't have to travel to get it. I have since built a great relationship with the dealer considering the rarity of the vehicle in this area, and surprisingly, this dealer takes great care of EVO owners. Can't really complain.

Got mine from the dealer about 20 miles away from me. Considering they had two brand new '06's left when I went there in Dec. '07, you can probably imagine how much I had to pay.

Private party is the way to go. Especially from a member on here, at least then, you can kind of look up a history of the car. I drove 10hrs one way to get my evo. Found it in the classifieds on here. Couldnt be happier.

Bought mine at the dealership 5 years ago. Could've got it for less used, obviously, if i waited. But meh. You can still find used 8,9, and X's at dealership though.

Unhappy

Mitsu dealer, 7 mins from my old house. Going with a dealer gives u a selection in one spot to look at multiple choices, but u always pay more.. I'd buy private party. I'd also buy a modded one too as much as most folks shy away from buying a modded evo & chase after illusory virgin evo's that haven't seen a track or anything resembling a spirited drive... Granted, I'd be picky with how a car was modded. If it looks like it was modded for the sake of modding with random thrown together parts from 30 different manufacturers, I'd probably move on to something better. You can always sell off the parts you don't want on the car & get something better/different. It'll help fund your modding!
