Audible shift-"light," does anyone make them?
im trying to find a device that will alert me audibly when i reach my shift point, anyone know of any such product?
I don't know of a specific product.. HOWEVER, you can get an RPM Activated switch and a 12v buzzer which will do the same thing..
I use an RPM activated switch from MSD, and an Autometer Pencil light (as a shift light) its real easy to use a buzzer instead of that light, or even both.. The wiring from the MSD switch actually opens closes to ground, so you just need to wire a 12v source to the positive connection of the buzzer, and the negative goes to the 'normally open' lead to the switch..
The switch requires only additional 3 connections, Switched Power, Ground and RPM source (It works with the square wave output of our tach signal that runs to the dash, or you can tap from the ECU harness)
you can get a two step switch that indicates at two different settings, which can set a light, then 500rpm later, a buzzer too..
