ACD Transfer Case

Can any tell me the process of tearing down the ACD transfer case fully. I already have the entire unit out of the car. I have the side case off and the other side with the Pinion gear on it separate from central portion. Im trying to inspect everything before I reassemble the car, so I need to get into the spider gear set too. Any help or tips would be appreciated greatly. Thanks!

Is the ring & pinion chipped on the gears? (this is your weak point, not the lsd internals)

Does it move freely with no slight gringing feel?
Do the bearings move freely with no slight grinding feel?
Does the peek hole have what looks like greese on or around it?

If you have these issues then its time to rebuild!

The ring & pinion gears are in great shape, can't even notice any wear at all. There is no grinding on anything.

The following photo shows arrows as to the parts I am dealing with.

Black- The middle portion of the Transfer Case
Yellow- Some collar that holds the Green geared plates in line.
Red- Just some part around the spline
Blue- The bearing

I am trying to take off the Yellow/Green to further teardown the T-Case.

Or if this is going to be to hard to do I will try to get Yellow and Green to go back down all the way to sit nearly flush with Black I can't get them to re-align correctly to fall back into place.

I commend you on your efforts to complete such a task to do it yoruself and save money. If I had a lift and a bench I would be all over this why not create a diy to contribute?

I have been debating on the entire engine/transmission/t-case/rear-diff removal and install DIY. I have absolutely everything out of my car right now but no good camera to take all the photos unless I use my macbook like the photos above. I will more than likely take photos of the complete installation though and maybe work up some DIY.

Some one please help me get the rest of this T-case apart...

FSM? I have the IX Service manual but it has no part about the inner workings of the T-case other than removing it from the car.
