Hey all, On my exhaust ( before the catalytic converter ) there are a couple welds and hose clamps on all of the welds.. WHAT ARE THEY FOR? extra support?

-Do you all have them? ( its an evo 8 ( 2005 )

It just seemed weird to me , wanted to see what everyone thought. Didnt have that on any of my other cars

 

They're not holding on a heat shield are they?

Completely stock exhaust? I have seen V band clamps welded on fwiw.

 

no just on my downpipe when it gets close to connecting to the catalytic converter their are weld points, and the hose clamps are on those welds points for an unknown reason
