Alternator %&^*!

ok so i got a used one off Ebay, and had it rebuilt cause mine was over charging at 14.7-14.90. So ive been putting off for about a week and tonight i did it. Let me tell you guys, this isnt fun i saw absolutly no way other then taking off the intake manifold to get it out thru the top, so i went thru the bottom, Drop Axle [<--- and that sucks] and loosen motor mounts cause u have to lift the engine up even with the left CV out, this is crazy! i would not wish this alternator job on anyone! ive done Heavy machines with easier alternators to remove then this one.

Yea. I did it through the bottom to. but I didnt have to push the motor up. All I did was take it out and turn the alternator to all kindas of angles and it slid out. I also tried the top. But way to much stuff to do There really is no easy way.

I changed my alternator out in no more than one hour, it literally takes like 10 mins to pop the axle out and the downpipe and a couple of the cross members with an impact. Once the alternator was loose I did the same thing once u get it at the right angle configuration it slides right out. No motor mounts coming loose or any of that. I Was surprised at how hard everyone makes it out.

popping the Axle out was the worst part, it really did not want to budge at all. i didnt have to take my downpipe off cause i raised the engine, it took me about 90minutes from start to finish.
