Are you talking about the Racing Suction kit? The standard Mega flow intake system is only like $100.

Yeah...I'm talking about the suction kit. The yellow would look very nice in my Yellow Evo.

The only problem is that the hks filters have terrible filtering properties.

Color in the end wouldn't matter that much since you could always replace the SMF element with whatever color. I use the Eclipse intake kit on my car and it works just fine. Eventually going to try and switch over to the Metal Flow filter.

ne proof to substantiate that claim?? Trying to find out cuz my friend is using that kit on his evo.

back to topic now, my friend using the kit likes it a lot and said his butt dyno reads an increase in top end or sumthing to that effect. Also the bov is very audible now with the racing suction on there.

Yes it does, I have had no problems with mine 2400 miles so far and still good. But I guess if you will where there are dirt roads then it might be an issue . But like TRS says change atleast every 6000 miles for good measure.

I'm no expert and can't personally comment on the HKS filter, but this webpage may be of interest...
