Is my car a lemon?

Hi, I have been haveing problems with my EVO for awhile now. It grinds into 2nd when its cold, and their is a bad clunking sound when I go over 4000 rpms, followed by a vibration in the steering wheel and pedals. My dealer already put a new tranny in last november, but it is still doing it. Do I have a lemon case, or is there somekind of number I can call to complain? Help me pease, I just bought it 8/03 and has only 6,100 miles on it. Plus Im a girl and dont want to get screwed by my dealer..HELP

I would think that you would have to take it in more than once to try to persue any type of Lemon Law. Contact a regional Mistubishi representative if you feel the dealer isn't helping you out.

Where are you located? Lemon laws vary by location. Here, the car has to have been in for service 4 times for the same problem, it has to have been a safety related issue, and has to have been out of service for at least 30 days over the 4 repair attempts... at least as I understand our law.

It may be 3 in Mass. but it's 4 in Texas. That's why I asked where she is located. It isn't the same everywhere. If you are positive it is 3 where you live then you should say that rather than make a statement that sounds like a national standard.
