Hey guys i just installed FP4r cams on my Evo 9 and its now running rilly rich, and misfiring a little at start up. i drove the car a little bit and seems to drive ok.
My AEM widband is stuck at 10.0

I'm gonna go out on a whim but a tune would most likely help

Uhhhhhh Yeah get a tune. Thats a pretty integral piece of the motor you changed. If FP told you you'd be fine without a tune thats horrible (Doubt they understood what you meant).

when i start the car, it sits at 14-15 for a few seconds then slowly moves down to 10.0 and stays there.

you need a tune after installing cams. especially if you had an aggressive tune prior to the install.

^ X2. You need to tune, cams change quite a bit even at idle.

What you're most likely experiencing is the ECU switching to open loop at idle. I'd guess because of the fact that your fuel trims are so off with the new cams

if they told you it would be ok, they probably meant ok to drive at 2k rpm TO GET A TUNE

Problem resolved, it was the Bosch Wideband sensor.
in my experience, the sensor stays at 14.7 but this time around it was 10.0.

Brandon over at
www.Renown-Performance.com was able to help me out on this job.

At least pull the battery cable for 30min to reset the ecu--that will help- but is no sub for a tune as recommended.
