Hello, I was driving today and my cel popped on, note that I wasn't doing any pulls or anything just driving normally. I went and plugged in the obd2 and got P0401, P0300. I know what each are. This seems to be linked to my weird idle. Ive seen many of post about the same symptoms, evo with stock cams sound like they have giant cams. I plan to start with vacuum testing and checking the egr to see whats up with that. Im no mechanic so I wont be doing this myself. Also, besides the weird idle my car runs just fine, no issues. My questions I need help with are where to take my car? Also anyone have the same issue and have a solution?

 

Check all the vacuum lines around and connecting to your egr. More than likely one of them has popped off. Put it back on and zip-tie it on.

I recommend turning off the P0300 code through the periphery bits. I and many others have done it with no ill effects. I turned it off years ago.
