JDM bumper diffuser got squeezed

My evo 9 got IDM bumper and diffuser w/ Invidia N1 exhaust. I dont know if this problem is common for this combo or what, but the exhaust tip's location is a little bit off to the left and my diffuser just got squeezed up badly by it. Totally deformed. The N1 exhaust is installed by the car's previous owner who seems to not care about this look but I just cant take it. Had somebody try to pull the exhaust pipe to the right, but it will hit the fuel tank. So could anyone tell me if this is a common problem for the Invidia N1 w/ JDM rear bumper or it is caused by installation error? THANKS....

That exhaust is obviously made for USDM bumper. JDM bumper is shorter.

just take that system off and buy an ebay turbo back. with the money made from selling your N1 you'll have plenty left over to buy a magnaflow muffler and have it custom welded in place of the N1. you'll probably have some money left over so buy yourself a nice dinner....

Thanks a lot! So do u mean they cut the pipe portion in front of the muffler? That is all they did?

I modded my megan to fit a JDM rear, its not as simple as just cutting a straight 1" piece out of the pipe and rewelding it....... for me.

Yes the pipe right before the muffler they cut the can off trimed the pipe and relocated the muffler hanger, welded everything back exactly how i wanted it to fit. Any muffler shop could do this for you. 15min job

This is so common when switching to a jdm bumper... I went straight to an exhaust shop, cost 80$ and was done in 1 hour

Too bad I just changed my exhaust again lol damn... More fitment issues again
