removing the engine bay sound / firewall mat?

removing the engine bay sound / firewall mat?
Anyone have any advice for removing this? Mine is looking a little crappy on the sides. The drivers side is whats giving me the hardest time around the brake lines, and such. Advice would be greatly appeciated.
