Hey guys, My name is CJ I just bought my 2003 EVO 8, Love it so far, in the past I had 2 Eclipse DSMs so I know the engine somewhat. I know most forums hate when noobs come and post but I will be a frequent member. My first question is, there are two knobs to the bottom left, the one on the right controls the dimmer for console lights, what does the one on the left do? Next my Cluster(Speedo/Tach) Backlight isnt working, is there something small it could be besides a fuse? If it ends up being the bulb ill take it to the dealer where I have warranty. Last that I can think of right now is, does the little round thing behind the throttle pedal serve a purpose?

ah ok, that makes sense. Thanks for the info, I was hoping it would turn on the cluster lights somehow

 

Headlight leveling is what i think you may be talking about.

There are little bulbs behind the cluster. It is not uncommon for them to burn out.

That "little round thing" is so you can't go more than 50% throttle cause the car is so fast as is. :P It's a pedal stop. Think about what could happen if you were able to depress the throttle pedal way more than needed to go WOT
