Im getting tune in a week currently have a drop in filter, but my friend just gave a perrin filter. Should I just stick with the drop in or put in the perrin filter?

go with the perrin. The drop in filter is only good if your going to keep the stock intake track which can be a bit of a restriction.

Go with the Perrin for sure. It is a really nice piece and it filters well. You will pick up a little hp as well as be able to hear the spool up.

The only reason to stick with the drop-in is if you want to retain the stock look.
