In an effort to get important news out quickly, I give you the
following:

SOLO EVENTS BOARD

The Solo Events Board met by conference call January 28th.
Attending were SEB members Colan Arnold, Marcus Merideth, Ron Bauer,
Chris Dorsey, Mark Sirota, Mari Clements, Mark Sipe, and Andy
Hollis; Bob Introne of the BOD; and Doug Gill of the National
Staff.

SOLO II STREET PREPARED CATEGORY

The SEB and **** have reviewed the specifications and classing of
the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VIII and the Subaru WRX Sti, and the ****
has recommended against moving the cars out of ESP. The SEB has
concurred at this time, and will continue to monitor their
performance. The board may elect to move them at a later date this
year, per the 12-month provision of Section 3.2 of the Solo II
Rules. The deadline for a change in 2004 would be the June issue of
Sports Car, as established by month in 2003 of the initial listing
of the Evo.

TECH BULLETINS

1. Street Prepared: The following new listing, subject to the
provisions of Section 3.2, is added to Appendix A as shown:

Subaru WRX Sti ESP (separate line from existing WRX
listing)
Comment: this car has up to this point been covered by the current
WRX listing in ESP; the **** felt it was appropriate to separate it.

2. ProSolo: From Tasha Goodale, ProSolo Chief Steward -
Competitors are reminded that vehicles will NOT be reclassified
under 3.2 in ProSolo after the year begins. Example: The Mitsubishi
Evo will continue in ESP for the remainder of the 2004 ProSolo
competition, whether or not it is moved for Solo II by the SEB.

Please feel free to forward to other lists.
