New intake

Hello all!! I'm new to the fourms and new to evos in generally even tho I have loved them since I was 10. Haha.
I just got the injen uicp and licp as wells as the short ram intake. I know it's not the best out there but it's what I'm stuck with for the moment. Now my bov used to VTA and ever since I got this new piping I can't hear my bov at all it's still opening but all I hear is the fft fft fft of the intake. Is that normal or did I mess up. Can I make my bov a bit louder again?!? Thanks for the help

Perhaps what you are hearing is surge.

I agree. If it's a flutter noise, then it's surge. That's no bueno.

So let me get this straight tough, you want to hear your BOV better? I have an intake and UICP and my stock BOV is annoyingly loud. It vents ALL the time and I hate it. Literally every shift of a gear above 2500rpm will greet me with an annoying pssshh.

With my stock piping my bov was annoyingly loud too. I'll post a video of what I'm hearing tomorrow when it's light out again. It didn't sound like surge but I may be wrong.

Have you ensured the bpv was reinstalled correctly? I've seen it many times people when putting things back together seem to install the bpv backwards?

The "top hat" should be closer towards the radiator/front of car.

It happens to the best of us. It sucks how easy it is to put it in backwards.
