Hey guys, I was involved in an accident last week. Luckily I wasn't at fault, so I'm waiting to hear back from the other drivers insurance company as to if it's totaled or not. Here are some pics, so if anyone has any experience with wrecked evos, please give some input. Also, it's an 03 with 139k miles so I'm sure that has some bearing on it.

 

If frame is damaged, its pretty much totaled.

 

Did the airbags deploy?

 

evos have frames?

 

itll be most likely, it looks like intercooler got hit. if they need to replace body panels and mechanical ANd it has that many miles itll probably be totaled, just buy it back and fix..

 

It is prob totalled. Make sure to buy it back and part it out.

 

No airbags deployed, and if it is totalled I'm definitely buying it back so I can build the motor and driveline to put in the 72k mile 03 I found

Maryland drivers, I tell you...... No, I kid; I'm sorry that this happened to you. I agree that if the frame is damaged then you have a totalled car. You can get the frame repaired but the resale value for your car drops significantly afterward.

What's the insurance talking about if you don't mind me asking?

 

from the pic it does not look to bad. Looks mostly cosmetic.

 

I probably would have killed her, quite unfortunate people have to be total idiots behind the wheel.

 

Same thing happened to me 3 years ago.Mine didnt look as bad as that and they totalled it. But, I did have airbag deployment. They labled it salvage but rebuildable. My buyback was $1200. I'm driving it today...

 

Hood,bumper,lights, ic, radiator, crash beam and some tweaking....she'll be fine.

And NO....there is no FRAME on these cars......UNIBODY guys.
