Whats up guys just a quick question so im currently running a 2.4 stroker n in a couple months when its winter im pulling the motor to paint my bay n while its out i would like to freshen up my block. What should all be done? It has all manley internals right now do i just change rings, bearing etc? As long as there is no problems thanks for any input

 

How long has it been since you did the 2.4?
If you havent changed the pumps, ill say that could be a good thing. Replace belts, replace vacuum hoses, typical maintenance that is easier with the motor out.

 

The motor has less then 5k on it

 

as long as it was built to spec it should be good for at least 40,xxx miles with basic maintenance

 

Ya well it uses a little oil and while its out i would like to tighten it up i dont wanna pull the motor and put it back in n spin a bearing or some **** and end up pulling it again and i dont see my motor lasting 40k miles at 600 whp maybe thatd be nice lol
