My EVO 8 just started to act up.
My rpm is fluctuating between 2 and 3 at idle and when I push in the clutch.
Car jerks a bit taking off from 1st.
High Knock has been occurring.
Nothing sounds wrong.
Cars hardly ever driven hard. It's my DD.
Very close to stock.
Don't know what's wrong, hopefully you do.

did you check for boost leaks? most commonly from the intercooler piping

 

I would do a boost leak check. If that doesnt help and you say your RPM are between 2-3 is that thousand? Might be a bad IAC check that out as well. If it jerks when you take off in first...learn to drive

 

Check your vacuum lines on your throttle body and intake manifold. (vacuum leak)

 

Thanks for the replies. Trying them all today. As for learning to drive, pretty sure I know how, or else I wouldn't be in my EVO.
