racing harness

lets say i have some bride seats on the evo... now the seat belt wont fit because that locking crap is gone.. and now the best possible way would be a racing harness right? but for the racing harness.. u need a roll cage or else it wont be as effective right? so are the people at vivid wrong when they put the takata harness on w/o roll cage?

I'm under the impression that you don't need a roll cage as long as the harnesses are anchored to something other than the seat. Vivid anchored theirs to the floor. There are also bars made to run behind the seats for harnesses to attach to.

the way vivid did their harness is perfectly fine since the TAKATA comes with a eye bolt that connects to the floor in a safe and effective way.

I believe NHRA says 5 point shoulder harness' must be mounted at 45 degree angles behind the seat to be legal for racing....
