ran into a stupid problem with my evo..the shifter is like dead weight so if i go in between first and second it wont go back to neutral have to move it my self...i spoke to a friend he said there is 2 retention springs in there and to swap them out..has anyone ran into this problem before i start pulling things a part? it only has 50 k miles on..and if you have easy to change them thanks i appreciate it

 

Your friend is correct. You can see it in the top right of this picture.



Evomoto also has a good how to on removing the center console. Shouldnt take too long, and its very easy.
