Opinion on my ix

I have a completely stock. I have it on jack stands and engine out of the car. I have a bunch of after market parts I want to slap on to it. I however am not going to tune the car for about another 2-3 months. Whats your opinion? Should i put everything back in stock and wait. Or since i have it out and apart put the parts in and drive it like that for those couple months?

The Parts are

Megan Headers
Megan O2 Housing
Manley springs and retainers
Gsc s1 cams
Injen Intercooler piping

All input is appreciated

You cannot safely drive the car with those parts unless it has been tuned.

For the sake of your Evo, don't even think about installing those parts and not having it tuned.

Damn can't believe i forgot about the fuel pump.
Yeah you guys are completely right guess i'm just being lazy idiot right now. Well guess ill only do the springs and retainers then.

I have one more question. When you take your car to get it tuned with all the parts, do you drive it there or flatbed it there.

the megans arent too bad. but i would recomend a ported stock one as well. and if you have all the parts there i would just tow it on a flatbed. you could put some of those parts on without a tune. but it would be recommended to just wait. when your able to tune then put all the parts on and enjoy your new power

Get S2's believe me they are better and will take to mods better then S1's. The Megan header will probably crack especially since when you remove the OEM 02 Housing you also remove the bracket that supports the turbo.

Port the Turbo, port the OEM manifold and yes the PROPER Megan 02 Housing makes power for sure but keep the OEM manidfold, it'll support the weight and never crack. The Megan MIGHT MIGHT give you 5WHP MAYBE but it'll absolutely add lag.

The S2's are a must with the Springs and Retainers sell the S1's.

Get bigger Injectors while you are at it. Look for 360-370WHP DYNOJET with those mods.

Keep the stock manifold you will most likely make more power with it.

And bolt on your mods just don't boost it until you get it turned

With you engine out, don't forget to put in a decent clutch.

Testing for stability is definitely required.

I would definetly do a fuel pump and injectors (walbro and 1000cc), or else you will likely run out of fuel, just as I did.

As High PSI points out: You don't need the upgraded springs and retainers for the S1 cams. The S1 grind is compatible with stock springs/retainers. So, sell the S1's and get the S2's. Ditch the Megan header as Pagan and Demon, et. al., have pointed out.

Get S2 cams biggest difference by far in the power you will make. Big cams on a Stock turbo are marvelous.
