Cracked valve cover...

I have a small crack that is leaking out at the middle bolt on the front of the valve cover. I recently had it off and I guess i overtightened it. Is this repairable or do I need a new valve cover? Thanks

This happened to me a few years ago. It was also caused by overtightening. My friend filled it with JB Weld and I daily drove it like that for a few months. I ended up getting a brand new valve cover for peace of mind. Or to waste money.

easy way to repair it.... Buy another one. or try a brand new valve cover gasket and some high temp red rtv over the cracked area (on the outside of the valve cover only)

best thing to do is replace it though. troll the part out section or engine classifieds. Or put up a WTB thread. im sure youll get tons of PM's with people trying to give you one

just my 0.02 cents

Ahhh I cracked mine not too long ago...I got a replacement one but it's still not on. I fixed mine with high temp silicone although a temporary fix it holds up fine.
