i love the FF kits but for daily driving in my area its a gamble. if i ever go full race i will definatly have a FF kit

Just my 2 cents
That's what I'm saying, I could never rock a FF setup when I lived in NJ, down here maybe but still a lot of debris IMO

Good to hear you didnt have issues with it being FF, did you ever get caught in the rain?

Whats the consensus on Smurfzilla i know we were talking about it in another thread of yours? Keeping it and rebuilding or starting from scratch on a new one?

Yeah I got caught in a few pretty rain storms. I just took it easy (not like its a rally race anyways). I don't know if they were as bad as it seems you get in FL but they were pretty severe.

I decided to keep the Turbo and upgrade it to the 6266. I know it kinda goes against what I was was wanting but there somethings happened that pretty much forced me to keep the setup and just roll with it. The blue car is gone. Never to come back. I'll divulge details as the black car gets underway. I hate to be cryptic but it'll be worth the the wait. Part of the reason I'm keeping the setup is because I'm having one shop do everything. Building the new block, tuning it, putting it together.

Im actually having a "fire" sale shortly. My pretty much brand new QuarterMaster will be up for sale as well as some otger things and some rota wheels that came on the car i got to replace the blue one.

Hopefully in a few weeks i can post whats been happening. Some of you have been PMing me and its killing me not to tell the whole story but i want to post it with the epic fail, decisons and choices i was faced with, and the end result (which I'M not even sure how it will be.

If there is a evom record for perserverance im sure id be in the top 10. e

If you are out of boost or parked its going to just be pooling water inside your wastegate housing.

All for...what advantage? At least with a FF kit, there is a definite advantage to the air temperature and density. I wouldn't do it for a road racing car, as I get all kinds of random crap kicked up in front of the car, but for a street sweeper or drag car it makes sense.
What is wrong with water collecting in the dump tube?

There is something priceless about a 6" flame coming from the hood at full boost, and the near F1 jet noise when doing runs through tunnels. So damn fun I wouldn't want it any other way.

Thanks. I started to sell everything when I found out what it would take to get the black car the way I'd like. I've scaled back some of my plans and have since decided to keep it and keep things as simple as possible.

Its going to take a while but I'll get there.

Rain, snow, sleet, hail, and every other thing in the atmosphere has entered my SS dump, just to be blown right back out if it doesn't evaporate before then. No corrosion on the flapper, surrounding the flapper, or in the tube.

1,000,000% true... driving through the rain is not the end of the world. its not like you are FULLY submerging your car in water.

When I park my car... my dumps are covered. I had caps that I plugged them with. Now sometimes water did get in there... but it will never go into the engine... when the wastegate opens up... the amount of force that gas is coming out... the water can only go out... not in
