Chicago Auto Show
I went to the Chicago Auto Show today. There is a BBY on the floor. I noticed that it was a 2003 so I went to the counter where the
people were standing. I asked, "When will the 2004 Evo be on display"? One of the ladies pointed and said, "It's right over there". I said, "No, that's a 2003. It's 2004 and most of the other cars here are 2004's. How come the Evo is 2003"? They referred me to a lady who was on the phone.
I went to the lady and I asked, "When will the 2004 Evo be on display"? She pointed to the BBY and she said, "That's it". I said, "Nope, that's a 2003". She went over to the car, looked at the plaque on the floor, looked at the VIN through the windshield and she said, "That's weird. They should have sent a 2004".
I told her that I wanted to see a 2004 so that I could see what's different. The lady said, "Well the 2004's are exactly like the 2003's". She went on to explain that when
makes a new Evo they just change the number (i.e. Evo VII, Evo VIII).
I said, "I heard there were leather Recaros and a more powerful radio". She said, "Those are just options". I said, "What about the Evo RS"? and she just looked at me as if I said, "What about the Evo Moon Rocket"?
It's a shame that even on Media Day the
people don't know basic things. I already have an Evo, but somebody might be basing their next car purchase off of info available at the auto show. They don't have to be a walking Evo encyclopedia, but
can't they know a little?
At least there's an Evo (with a CF wing) on the floor this time. The doors were unlocked, but I don't know if it will be open or locked for the general show.

You should have at least married a Mitsubishi!
Well... we know that is definitely not spending money on training their employees.
But there are usually salespeople from local dealers staffed to assist in the booth as well..
That lady should have referred your question to one of them..The people that work the sales floors typically will know more than the "beautiful people" in the booths might
