You can get a lancer rear window for i would say under 200 bucks and not have to have the wiper hole anymore.

Quote: How much was the replacement? I'm sure it's cheaper than my $500 deductible + increased insurance rates.
You have a $500 comp deductible?? Why??

And your insurance rates should never increase for a comp claim. If thats the case you should really look into finding a different insurance company ASAP

consider it an upgrade by allowing yourself to have no hole anymore!

I've been looking around to see if the glass is the same. If so I will definitely be getting a lancer replacement.

If you do a claim whether it's comp or not it will still cause your rates to go up correct?

Not if you have an insurance company worth a spit. I have filed a few comp claims over the years on multiple cars. Due to break in, windshields, deer, tree branch at a park that fell on my old car.

Insurance rates should never increase for a comp claim.

Another piece of advice keep comp deductibles low always. my current comp deductible is 50 as reference

I have the green lizard so with "97% customer satisfaction" blah blah it shouldn't be a problem.

Yep. Even if towing is included in your policy, it will still go on your record as a claim. Whether your at fault or not, insurance company's look at the amount of claims you have. Which is why I'm skeptical about going through the insurance to fix it.

that is insane !!! i would think it would have something to do with the cold weather, but considering your in florida, i find that very odd. i know certain areas get pretty cold, but over here in my area of florida we haven't had any cold weather here that went any lower then the 70s such as today.... probably a freak occurance.

good luck with the repair let us know how that turns.
