Misfire on Cold Start?
Misfire on Cold Start?
It's starting to get worse now. On a fairly cold morning (39 degrees for this video), the car will misfire like crazy. So much so it throws a SES light, which I later pull as a Misfire Cyl 1. I've tried to let it idle for a couple minutes or so to warm it up. Then shut it off, and try starting it right away, it keeps doing the same thing as show in the video. But if I let it idle for a little to warm it up, and then shut it off and let it sit for about 5 mins or so (usually go back into the house for a few mins) and come back; it starts right up.
Mods are bolt ons, walbro 255, RC 1200cc Injectors, tephra mod version 5.10 on e85 tune. Colorado altitude.
Heres a video

So I figured out a weird solution. If I turn the key all the way forward without starting it. Let it sit for all the stuff to come on for about 3 seconds. Pump the gas pedal a few times and then start it, it doesn't do that weird idle thing. Any thoughts?
Can you switch to pump gas?
For e85 you need to increase the enrichment tables for low coolant temps in the global fuel section. For 38 degrees f I need around 120 (i.e. 120%) to add enough fuel to idle smoothly. You will need to experiment because your injector size may be different to my own. Try adding 5 % at this temp at a time.

I agree with the above. I have had much better success adding fuel through the coolant enrichment tables to combat this type of issue. Hovering around stoich (or even leaner) on a cold start like you've shown is too lean. On a typical cold start like you've shown, I like to target a full point or two richer and progressively lean out to stoich as the car warms up.
