Being a prior csrt4 owner i really enjoyed the blue kazoo i got for it. So you guys are probly going to flame me for this but i was wondering if any of you have seen anything like this for the evo 9.....



It bolts right under the stock bov and sounds pretty sick. Im not going to lie it serves absolutely no purpose but making the recirc blow off very loudly. I had it on my stage 1 csrt with wga, map clamp, intake, and exhaust and it sounded amazing. I hate the way atmospheric bovs sound, and im not running power levels to justify replacing the stocker. Any ideas where to get one?

 

Yeah, you are bound to get flamed for starting a thread topic such as this dealing with aural posturing. So, you might as well zip your flame suit on up now.

You may have to trace the foot print of the flange for that thing and cut one out of aluminum stock and tubing (also cut a gasket for it) then have it welded onto the stock UICP. Good luck.

A lot of guys on here are going to want one of these for eliciting reciprocal status recognition during peer group display rituals.

 

Oh well they can flame away. It really is the best sounding blow off i have ever heard and if you listened to it vs a squeaky atmospheric you would choose it hands down.

I know i could probly fabricate one however i was hoping i wouldnt have to. If i could buy one it would be much easier.

So you want your BOV to be loud? Seriously? I guess I'll start the flaming... There are plenty of ricer style loud BOV's that don't work worth a damn if that's what you're after. Just buy a china knockoff from Ebay. Those things are loud and can't hold boost worth a crap. Should be just what you're looking for.

 

To hell with driveability, power and reliability. I'd rather be annoyiong and have people look at me with, while pretending to be Vin Diesel.

And it doesnt negatively affect drivability, or sound ricer like 99% of non recirc bovs do. The fact of the matter is the stock 9 bov is perfectly fine for the setup Im going to have.

Yes i think O2 dumps are annoying and i do not like the sound at all. There is a purpose though. Thats why i have one.

 

Thats debatable. You can make as much power as you want on a ported o2 housing OR o2 dump. The difference? The sound.

Just like when people take a recirc system and install an atmospheric. Really counterintuitive when the car is setup for recirc and recirc performs just as well.

If Im not mistaken bad bish isnt running an o2 dump. Id have to imagine that english racing knows their ****. However Im sure buschur knows what theyre doing just a little better.
