They don't have any....I checked everywhere before I ended up paying a large amount for a 52mm Gruppe S. In my search I also bought a 60mm one that was $70.

I emailed Gruppe S before I bought the 52mm and they didn't even respond.

They are just a nice piece....nothing special but it fits the bill and is like an OEM part. I am OK with paying what I did for it since it was really the only option that I considered, I just don't like that look of the 42DD or the Autometer pieces.

From what I've talk to Gruppe S about, it sounds like there wasn't enough demand for the product. He also touched on the idea of possibly making these again in the future, I just dont know when.

I'd totally be the first one in line for a group buy.

I love my Gruppe-S 52MM panel but if you guys want you can try to persuade me to sell it.

I believe I paid around $50-60 shipped about 1.5 years ago.

They probably get 2000 emails a day about it, so don't feel bad when they don't respond.

If you search hard enough you will find Gruppe S's answer to your question on EvoM which is basically this:

-Gruppe S stop making the gauge pods because the injection mold die need to either be refurbished or retooled, and on a business stand point there was not enough estimated future sales to spend the money and cover the tooling costs.-

So to think about it logically, injection mold dies can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, they arn't cheap. Gruppe S already flooded the market with parts from the first tool, and because the 8/9 are no longer in production, the likely hood of selling 2x the volume for parts is basically 0%. So the only way to recoup that tool cost even at a $0 profit would be to sell it at 5x (or something crazy) the cost, which we all know you won't pay as its currently being discussed $200+ is unreasonable for the pods.

...a lot of people looking for them is more like 100's not 1000's and 10,000's...

This is the reality of the situation

^Pretty much. If we had 1,000 in a group buy, Im sure they would make them again. Their production rate would have to be 1,000 at a time.

This is the reason why I purchased two back when they stopped selling them, I didn't want to get stuck as aftermarket companies begin phasing out parts for our cars and moving on to newer models.
