How do you guys like your 03s? I am currently in the market for an EVO but people have been saying I should hold out for a 06 for a good price instead of going for a good cheap deal on a 03.

Currently, I drive a 04' sti and as it is the first year of the STi I can say it is no luxury car. It has the most cabin noise and most barebones interior of all the STis. So how do you think the 03 EVO compares to my 04 STi?

Well it depends on what you want to do with the car? Evo 8 03-04 is probably the rawest vehicle. Nothing is on there that doesn't need to be really. The engine people say is better if you do a full build on it. The 9 is nice cause of the upgraded interior and i guess some of the looks on the bumpers. Biggest thing is it has ACD and Mivec. ACD if its a drag car gets replaced anyways with a non-acd one usually and most guys I know never ever messed with the different options. Mivec is great if you are just doing bolt on's but if you are going to do a full build then its essentially just as = to the 8. Only thing I want out of the 9 is the interior seats and the JDM Bumper. I already made my headlights and tail lights look the 9's. Again it all depends on what you want out of the vehicle. Its a lot easier to find the 8's and with the money you save you can make it how you want it.

I found mine bone stock with 11k miles for 22k. It took me a while but it was worth every bit and now its turning into my dream car. If you have any doubts then don't do it. I found one but it had been in previous wreck and I was real iffy but im glad I didn't pull the trigger cause I wouldn't of been truly happy. Your 04 will be very similiar to the 03. From what I have seen all of the 06's are over priced for the mileage. In fact a lot of them are over priced. Find the one you want and get it. Only one id consider on here has like 14500 miles and its like an 05 or 06 but is bone stock and looks clean as hell.

If you're used to DD'ing a WRX it'll be an easy transition.

But like dude above me said, it still amazes me the prices they bring.

Good once you own one, ****ty when you're in the market to buy.

Its pretty crazy to pay as much as we do for 10 year old mitsubishi's.
