You might've opened a can of worms with this one...let the "my evo is better, blah, blah, blah..."

Good question though...I'd be interested as well, as long as it stays on topic..

I think Al still holds the official fastest Evo 8 at 11.56... but I think he said and AMS said that they're most likely in the mid 10 sec range now.

Are you just talking about 1/4 times or HP?

I think the most HP Evo 8's are pushing near 600 some WHP.

For "street quick", I'd say Buschur's Evo is the quickest 0 to 60 that I've seen with any sort of documentation. When Tym pulled their 11.65 1/4 run they logged a 0 to 60 time of around 2.65 seconds. I'm sure there are others too that are running that fast or faster.

Personally I feel that while 1/4 mile times a a valid measure of straightline performance, 0 to 60 times give me a better feel for how the car can be used on the street.

The Norris Design VII does the 1/4 in 10.99 so far.

I found this Australian EVOII that did it in 10.08 in 2002:

Why does the "Hall of Fame" only show the top 10? Even when you apply the filters allowing for the top 25 or all, it still only displays the top 10. No biggie, it's just nice to see how my stock time/mph compares to the quickest/fastest cars.

Thanks,

Dave

we have an evo 3 here in new zealand doing 9.5's, heres a link to some pics and some 1/4 mile times too these are all nz cars on the list btw, from evo's to vr4's to GSR's (yes quick 1.8l)

DOCILE (evo 3) will soon to be hitting 8 second runs, and theres another evo 2 with a prev record of 9.7, hes now running a half tube chassis like DOCILE and will be looking for 8s aswell, neither of these cars have run down the 1/4 with the tube chassis and slicks yet, so will be interesting!

When George @ Boost-Solutions get his EVO 8 up and running, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see some 8's from his direction

Those are great numbers! We have only had our EVO's for a year at most, so most owners are reluctant to gut them for drag cars..... yet. We have tube 4g63's running in the 7's around here, so another year or two and I would expect to see some very very quick EVO's. By the way, does you turbo rotate in the opposite direction of ours down under??

Have fun!

Speedlimit.....

lol, y yes they do well depending on which evo

they dont wanna go full tube chassis as the cars still need to have the 'soul' of an evo (body) and staying 4wd aswell. last dyno for docile was over 700hp at the wheels, so should be interesting

but see the size of the turbo on docile, the other evo 2 is ising one twice the size, oh, end in the evo 2, he's running an evo 6 engine, backwards with a custom made gearbox, the extractors lead thru the firewall and the turbo (HUGE!!!!!) sits next to the drivers leg (right hand drive) with the intake pipe just under the windscreen. crazy indians i tell ya! will post some pics once i find some (still top secret information but i managed to get a sneak peek of the car getting built)

What dyno are you familiar with in NZ?..who makes the most popular one used down there?

Please don't forget the G/Force EVO which runs 9's + low 57 second lap times at Tsukuba. Getting both worlds right.
