MYstery SOUND watch video n comment PLEaSE!

that is the address link to my youtube.. there is more than 1 video..
the sound seems like its coming from the rear end but i think it might b traveling down the driveshaft.. i just did All my fluids using redline and diaqueen and that didnt change nething.. you can only hear the sound when im ON the throttle. as soon as u let off the gas it stops.. so thats why im thinken its some bearring.. throwout mayb..? well watch my vids n comment please, id really like to get it fixes bc goin 65-80mph on highway is wen its most loud, but u can also hear it wen cruising around 30-40+

Are you talking about the whine? The only thing I can think of that whines like that is the t-case. Mine got REALLY loud right before it died. Sounded like an F1 car.

Pull your rear seat cushion up and do some figure 8's. If its your rear diff it will be obvious.

Sounds like a good idea. Typically it's the ring and pinion shredding apart. As long as the case doesn't explode for some reason, it should be rebuildable.

If you are going to do that, drain the oil and install fresh Redline Shockproof Heavy. My brother drove his evo for 2 years after doing that to his and the gears never worn down further or got worse.

Just fair warning. If you do this and the gears break. You must stop immediately and get the car towed. If you try to drive it with a broken ring and pinion then you will ruin the center diff LSD which will be a disaster and may double the repair costs. As soon as you hear and feel that pop or crunch immediately pull over and call a flat-bed. Any attempt to drive it would be like throwing $100 bills out your window.

Good luck

Jack
