Beatrush Aluminum Underpanel w/ dzus fasteners worth the money?

Every time I want to do work on my car I'm always so reluctant to do it because taking off the stock under tray is such a pain in the ***... I have only had to remove the section that covers the front jack point so far, and I have replaced the fasteners with push type vs screw type. However, it's still horrible when I have to squeeze my head under my lip and try to pry off fasteners without putting a screwdriver in my eye.

This weekend I was going to change out my tranny fluid & rear brakes, but the fact that I have to remove the undertray is making me dread it...

So now my questions:
  1. How do you like the build quality on the Beatrush? Is it worth the $500?
  2. Is it difficulty to attach the dzus fasteners to the panel?
  3. Do you use the dzus fasteners on the whole panel? Or are you using some of the original screws?
  4. Does the whole panel need to be removed to change the fluids (motor, tranny, tcase)?
  5. Where did you purchase your panel? DZUS Fasteners?

you don't need to remove the stock undertray to change any fluids

if a tiny bit of "convenience" is worth $600 it to you, replace it. I just drive up on 2"x8" slabs of wood with the front tires and that give plenty of clearance to get the center piece of the undertray off and up on jackstands. removing the rest is easy when it's needed (which isn't often)

Ok, I was under the impression that the undertray had to be removed to change out the tranny fluid.

I was also thinking about purchasing some low profile ramps to eleviate this issue, but I guess wood could work just as fine.

Are you just trying to save a few bucks? You don't need a beatrush undertray, it's just a super convenient piece.

The OEM undertray is a pain in the ***, but only if you plan on doing any work on the car yourself. I replaced mine because I knew I was going to be under there quite a bit and eventually I lost it going off track, so that just helped speed up the process.

Get a used one for $300 and like two sets of fasteners. If you're super cheap, just get one set and use it for the tow hook cover and rear section that hides the oil filter. (Nine fasteners total)

Well I'd obviously rather spend less, but to save my sanity $500 might be worth it. I currently don't track my car, so it's harder to justify one of these, but I will be doing everything to my car, minus installing a clutch (maybe I'll grow some ***** by the time that needs to be done).

Golgo I heard you wanted to sell yours, right? I'll paypal you the monies right now

I can imagine that only 1-2 of one of these are sold used per 5 years...

Stalk all the evo forums besides EvoM and post a WTB thread, that might help speed things up.

You can try sending a PM to MAPerformance, I know they stock them.

Still using mine, it goes up for sale when everything comes off the car in preparation for sale which I have no plans of doing for a long time.

No need in modifying the tray if you do get it. The whole thing comes off in 1 minute with the supplied nuts and bolts and some plastic fasteners from Lowes. I have taken that tray off the car at least 50 times since putting it on the car and see no need in using Dzus fasteners.

I have this setup and it's awesome. Dunno about $500 awesome since I picked up a new set years ago for much less. I do like the convenience though.

Show me how you have this set-up, I'm curious. It comes as a two piece, do you take the entire thing off?

Using dzus fasteners still gives you the flexibility to do the same if you want to take the entire thing off as one piece, but you can simply remove only the rear half if you're just doing an oil change, etc.

I made a little cut-out on the stock undertray and attached a hinge to it. So when I have to jack the front of the car up I drop the hinge and the floor jack fits right up to the jack point without messing with the undertray. Makes it nice and has saved me from taking the tray off many times. Cheaper than $500 and still does the job.

I have Beatrush Tray with Dzus Fasteners.I didnt trust the plastic clips to hold it and i also had dzus laying around in the garage. They work really well and make removing front bumper a breeze.

Looking into this myself. Had a wreck that took out all the stock panels, so, upgrade! Anyone see any issues with this working with the Carbing 6 point bar?

I read somewhere going without is detrimental to aerodynamics and engine bay cooling. Anyone have anymore info on that?

If your road racing yes, if it's a DD, it's not detrimental.
