Alternator giving out 15volts, big deal or no?

Went to get my car tuned the other day, said it can't be tuned due to the the voltage being at 15. Most evos are running around 14ish, is that little extra really that big of deal?

Yeah, thats overcharging.

Hard to dial it in with voltage that fluctuates that much.

Eventually your alt would give out, and when you change it the tune would be off.

yea apparently its been like this for roughly 2 and a half years, because ive had the battery break light on for about that long. Ive been tuned before with it on, but this is a different person im dealing with now, first person to actually bring this to my attention.

What points were used to see 15 volts? IE: Did you measure it with both leeds on the battery terminals?

Is it a OEM or Denso rebuilt alt?
I have heard of parts store rebuilds overcharging.
I just created a thread last week when mine finally crapped out at 307,000.

I went OEM mitsu due to reliability.

To me it sounds like a regulator problem or at least a wiring prob. I'll look at the schematics and see what voltage is on what pin at the connector at the back of the alt.

Also, if you guys are in Westchester, your not far from my dealer.

Q: Are the generator output line and ground line in good
