Ok im looking to rebuilding my QM 8 leg and was wounding if it necessary to change the inner and outer floater when putting in the new clutch disc?

 

Surface Flywheel
Validate Step Height(may need to adjust cover legs, shorter to maintain proper step height)
Replace Disks
Replace Floater
Replace Pressure Plate

Should be like 5-600 bucks.

Now if it is a first rebuild and you did not abuse the **** out of the car sometimes you can get away with just replacing the disks. But for a few hundred bucks more you can have a brand new clutch again.

 

Curious how many miles you got out of it?

 

i bought the car with the clutch in it already. I put only about 3k myself before it started to slipped on me. then again the car is pushing 30psi with 433tq with the 6spd after i got a retune. this clutch is the street version i like it and i probably had about 30 launch on it in the first 3k miles of owning it..
