1. The gas in the fuel tank can go bad. There's additive you can add that is supposed to prevent this. I've never used it so don't know if or how long it works.

2. If the gas tank is metal it can rust. Prevent this by keeping the fuel tank completely full. Yeah, this is contrary to #1.

3. If the car is in storage long enough the cylinders may rust. Put a teaspoon of oil in each cylinder and crank the engine a few times before storage.

4. Never store a car for long periods of time with a battery installed.

5. Rodents like to call a stored car home.

6. A car stored outside in the elements can have the brakes rust so badly the car is immobilized.

1-2 car was started and let run through a gallon and a half of gas approximately very month and a half
3 again would this be an issue if the car is started evey month or so?
4 it really wasn't stored but evey time I've started it I have had to jump it how ever it has started back up like a day after the jump without a jump
5 car has been washed every so often to prevent this all I've found is a few spider webs
6 this has defiantly not happened since I've move the car every time it's been started.

Friend, you asked for things to consider when storing a car and you have received good advice, instead of taking the info to heart you have refuted every idea. GL with your car and the decisions you have made. Looks like you have it all under control.

Also, it is good idea to drive it around until the engine comes up to normal temperature if you can.

I don't consider running the car every 1.5 months long term storage. I was thinking of people going over seas with the car stuck in dad's garage for a year.

Sorry definitely did not mean to come across like that and was by no means refuting the given advice or facts just more like answering and typing my thoughts real fast as I'm reading the post.

On another note I took part the center console and there seems to be some kind of oxidation on the shifter parts so I went ahead and ordered the triflow lube and grease and hopefully that'll take care of that issue. I also orded all fluids from amsoil to do complete fluid change as well as a bottle of their engine cleaner.

im sorry but he hasn't refused any of this, if anything is has already addressed all this with all the measures and periodic running that hes been doing.

people have been giving good ides and he has been doing them already he is asking for what things can be done to take it out of storage and get it ready for driving again instead of storage.

becarful, if you have aluminum bushings on steel bolts the steel will corrode the aluminum. my brothers dealer put steel caps on his aluminum srt8 rim valve stems and the steel corroded the aluminum to the point where they sheared in half when removing the cap.

I was also thinking what else if anything should I lube up? Shocks, anything in the drive train? In the engine compartment?

you were saying oxidation on the shifter parts, if you have aluminum bushings or maybe the shifter arm is alumnium im not sure but there is possiblity for corrosion if aluminum is on steel parts.

if the shifter is sticky, lube the bushings on the gear box with this:
