Hallman pro mbc problems low boost

I just installed a brand new hallman pro and I hooked it up as the diagrams show where the inlet on the bottom goes to the turbo vaccum source rather than teeing into the bov line and the outlet that's on the side of the mbc goes to the waste gate but I am stuck at factory boost levels for some reason no matter how much I turn it. Oh and I have the nipple on the intake capped

I didnt read the directions but did you try turning it the other way? Do you have the factory solenoid plugged in/capped?

source line(for example from turbo housing nipple) goes to the side nipple of mbc.

I don't think your suppose to turn the boost up before you get a tune!

Yes very true but I'm trying to get it working so the tuners can change it as they need I've been trying to get a tune for a while but this had been holding me back

And I was going to just cap the turbo nipple and teeing into the bov line but there is a line teeing into already I think it's for the aftermarket boost gage that was on the car when I bought it. would it be fine if I tee'd into that line again?

Two things I wouldn't tap into are the fpr and bov vac lines. My hallman Mbc is connected to the outlet on the j pipe and the waste gate actuator.

Hey man I just did the same install and I couldn't get over 12lbs. I toot he boost control apart and realized that I wasn't adjusting it at all.. Only screwing the cap on and off.... You really gotta crank it down the first time... After that I just slowly turned it p now it holds 18 solid...
Also idk how installing it upside down only gives you people stock boost ... If you flip it over it pushes the ball the wrong way and the waste gate never opens.... Infiniti boost... I spiked at like 24 ..whoops. Anyways good luck.

Also I did the bov line method.... Think about it this way at the j pipe your boost guage sees what the turbo is pushing out.... At the bov you see what the manifold is actually getting... It's kinda like how the wide bands gotta be 3 ft from the turbo to get an accurate reading... Just my opinion. No science or math behind that statement.

what do you mean crank it down. like screw it down all the way shut or all the way off. and is that how you take it apart? just unscrew the top?

I took the bottom nipple off took the ball and spring out and turned it with a screw driver.. But I'm sure if u just twisted hard it would work. The cap should screw down like a inch.
