Shifter bushing measurements

Hello all,

Does anyone have the dimensions for the aluminum shifter bushings? I have a lathe at work and would rather make my own parts.

Thanks guys

no idea on diameter, the bushings are 8 identical pieces. all ~3/8" - ~5/16" thick with ~1/16" notch cut around the outside so they seat into the existing holes on the shifter base

Lucky for you I recently made my own...

Shifter Base Bushings

Qty = 8
OD = 1.187
ID = didn't write down the measurement, sorry, just measure a bolt and add 0.016
Step diameter = 0.960
Step height = 0.047
Total length = 0.250
I had to run an ID deburr tool around my shifter base using that step diameter, I think I took off another 0.010. Even if you go undersize the two bushings will pinch and hold it tight.

Shifter Linkage Bushings (5MT)
Large Bushing, Qty = 2
OD = 1.465
ID = 0.320
Step dia = 1.325
Step height = 0.235
Total length: = 0.325

Small Bushing, Qty = 2
OD = 1.015
ID = 0.320
Step dia = 0.858
Step height = 0.156
Total length = 0.257

Best of luck, you're going to love them.

Terror you are awesome! thanks for the info. Now I have something to do at work lmao

Do you know what size the bolt is?? is it an M6??

Im thinking about a delrin sleeve on the inside of the underhood bushings.. what do you think??

that wouldbe good, yes. the underhood bushing i have are full delerin but a sleeve will serve the same purpose to not bind with the mounting point

Not a bad idea for corrosion

Either delrin or brass should be fine. I was thinking that if these wear I'll sleeve them.

A little off subject but what else have you made? CNC that is of course. And if you did, do you have specs??

I haven't made anything else as I've only had it for a month and I'm just starting the mods. Pretty much any bushing I'm going to replace I'm going to make myself (excluding the Blox front engine mount because I picked it up cheap). I have access to CNC machines but I supervise our tool room and can run the equipment back there without having to ask someone to make me programs and run the parts. It's nice to have access to bridgeports, lathes, MIG, TIG, plasma cutter, excess material, and a paint line.

If you can wait until Monday I can get you tolerances but I don't have calipers at home and work is 40 miles away. All the ODs can probably be within 0.030, the step heights within 0.015, step diameters +0.001, - 0.002, and linkage IDs are -0.001, +0.002 for good fit.

If you find anything else to make let me know so I can make them as well before I go through those areas. It's a pain to have to pull the parts, make, and install them before I can go home.

Haha yea thats why i asked on here. I cant take my bushings off at work. Could you get me specs on the front engine mount you have?

So far I made the base bushings. One set out of aluminum. And one set of delrin. Im going to test fit both. And while I have the program up, i might as well make a couple more sets to sell lol

So far ive made a COP plate, cam sensor heat shield and misc brackets. i might have made more stuff but cant think of it tight now. if your interested in any specs I have pm me your email addy and I could send a drawing your way.
