Looking forward to adding another Mitsu to the game

I have just been taking it all in and reading threads, I'm not a fan of stupid threads easily negated by a search, and I am finding what I need to know and help clarify my interest towards the IX for a stock DD. I already have a Mitsu taking all of my money, a 93 3000GT VR-4, had a 91 VR-4 before that. Not stock, decent build going on. Thought I might at least get some posts under my belt so when I do find the one I want, I'm not coming out of left field. Seems like a great community, enjoying a lot of the threads thus far!

I have a 9 and it had been good to me for the past 4 years. How is the vr4? Never owned one but seems like a fun car. Heard lots of horror stories working on them though.

I almost got a 94 VR-4 but an 03 evo instead. If I could go back in time I would of got the 94, the 03 was garbage. The only thing I didn't like was the engine as mentioned above.

Welcome and I say if you're going to look for a 9, look good and hard, don't settle for anything below your standard.

Thanks guys! I'm definitely set on a clean, low mile IX without mods, or BPU stuff if anything. If I cannot find one in a few months when I am ready to commit in fair time, I'll likely just get the 03-04 Terminator instead. I can definitely see why you have to jump on a clean IX when you find it!

3000GT/Stealth's get a lot of bad reputation that is unwarranted. Sure, they have their idiosyncrasies like anything, and are incredibly intimidating at first but you get used to it and realize it isn't that bad. It's a lot of stress when you have several thousand in quality mods sitting in the basement and get anxiety because you need to get that mountain of parts installed haha. And then I get to tune it, but it will all be worth it. Should see 500AWHP on pump safely.
