Hello everyone,
I was doing a GSC S2 install and timing belt replacement yesterday when i found little flakes of metal in my timing cover. I decided to dig a little deeper and found about an inch and a half missing from one side of the intake cam gear The car has been running on that for awhile as the pieces laying in the cover are covered in belt residue and their outline imprinted wherever they were laying. Im just glad I found it before the belt decided to take a trip! Hopefully when shes all zipped up itll be making close to 420 on stock 8 turbo!

 

close to 420 that's impressive.what mods do you have?I'm glad you found what's broken without further damage.

 

The parts list is pretty simple. Im trying to optimize the 8 turbo on stock shortblock. So far im sitting at 25 lbs of boost on e85 and made around 360/340. Im going to 28lbs as soon as the headstuds are in tuned by myself on Tephra v7.

Im sure im forgetting something but i dont have my parts sheet on me. I really want to get tuned by tscomp on ecuboost but i want to give it a shot myself first.

 

Do you have any pictures? And this is stock cam gear?
