Blasting a Valve cover

Guys, I know I can't use sand or anything like that
Because of the sand getting trapped in the cover. I would think
Soda blast would be fine. What are your thoughts?

if you have an 8 i believe the baffles are different. usually people mask off the bottom and use aircraft stripper i believe

I had mine sand blasted but then did a chem wash for 4 cycles and then washed it in the dishwasher a few times just to be safe. No issues with mine.

When I got mine powdercoated it had to be sent out to get a special blasting. The magnesium ours are made of are VERY soft and brittle, so you have to make sure to do a blast that isn't too rough or coarse.
