Help!!!!

Hey guys. Needs some help. I pulled my sub and amp wiring out of my evolution. Since then I have lost power to my wideband and my car continues to run even when the key is off and removed. Any ideas? I searched and found nothing. Thanks in advance.

I doubt you will get much help here...

Basically something you did is wired incorrectly causing your problem.

You need to chase down your wiring mistakes.

I assume you are running a TT and I assume you used a hks mt-6 harness to hook it up. Id start there. If not then start chasing the immobilizer wiring first.

I have all the wiring diagrams and the complete shop manual for the EVO IX. You didn't say what kind of evolution you have. I can also get entire wiring diagrams for the VIII. Is your sub and amp the infinity one (ssl) or an aftermarket one. I'm happy to help despite what hatesposers says lol.

Thanks Guys, It is a 03 Viii. Yeah it was an aftermarket system. No TT. It is a little weird. Car starts and runs fine, but I pull the key and it just keeps running lol. I did notice my dash lights seemed a little dim, so I checked my dimmer which was turned up all the way.

Thanks for all the help. Greatly appreciated. I could really use those Schematics.

You can download the EVO VIII wiring diagram from that page. It has the MR and regular VIII wiring diagrams on there. Since its an 03 the regular wiring diagram would be the one. Good luck and if I can help out if you have any other questions feel free to ask me.

What I was saying is that YOU need to trace your wires. Obviously there was a hack job done on your harness SOMEWHERE... Unfortunately, without actually being there and seeing what damage was done, none of our suggestions, are going to be any help to you.

Heres what you need to do....

Put the wires that should be together, together.
pull apart the connections between wires that should not be together.

Ya that makes sense. The way you worded it was that no one here would be willing to help but I get what you meant now. That's why I got my car brand new. I know everyone doesn't have that luxury but buying a used car is always a gamble. Especially an evo where everyone thinks theyre mister goodwrench and starts hacking away at **** like they know wtf they're doing. Check the ignition circuit in the wiring diagram once you download it from that page I posted because SOMETHING is causing it to keep running with the key out (which is definitely some crazy **** lol) and I have to assume the issue is somewhere in that circuit. Good luck evo1981.
