AC not working!!

so my AC in my evo is not working. all it does is blow hot air? oh and I just broke the knob to turn the heat control because my lines got all bent up. does anyone first know what could be the problem, i heard that it could be the compressor but how do i check that?

also is anyone riding around with a double din install that could give me some pointers on how to straighter up my lines from the back of the HVAC unit?

thanks

Diagnose AC with the service manual.

Good luck

^Agreed. The service manual is your best bet. There are a few things that could go wrong unrelated to the compressor such as electrical issues.

Also, there is a thread on how to fix that knob you broke floating around when you get to fixing that. Good luck!

remove the glove box, and there is a sensor you will see on top of the black part of the blower, replace that and you will get your cold air back!

Under hvac---there is a gear replacement for the AC gears, cheap from what I can tell, includes part number for replacement and cable since you have an 03 with old style gears..
