I am guessing your wing was replaced during the "customer satisfaction" replacements...

Many of the Evo 8 wings had a clear coat separation issue. These were replaced under waranty with Evo 9 wings (which were not all carbon fiber like the Evo 8 wings)

Find an Evo 8 wing that someone is selling with clearcoat damage, and refurbish it yourself

OK, let me rephrase this....

The latteral wing portion on both the 8 and 9 wings is carbon fiber (the 8 wings have a foam core, the 9 wings are hollow)

The end sections of the 8 wing are all carbon fiber with the outside section painted body color, and the inside section being exposed clear carbon fiber.

IF YOU HAVE THE ORIGIONAL WING THE INSIDE SECTIONS ARE EXPOSED CARBON FIBER.

The end sections of the 9 wing are a plastic material and painted inside and out body color.

If you want the inside of the end sections to be carbon fiber, you need to:

a) get an origional 8 wing
b) custom make your own inside sections.
