looking to buying an evo soon

Hi, everyone, so long story short here. over the years Ive had my current car, a 2010 mustang gt. I put a bunch of money into it, no surprise there, and ive done high 12's at the track. long story short, there will always be the one car I'll never forget and thats the evo. I'm really considering selling my mustang and just buying one out right. so heres the dealio. car isn't sold yet, but could be soon.

what I would have:

15-20k to spend. NO more.

what I want: would really like an evo 9: Grey, black, or blue

what I could settle for if the price was right: evo 8: grey, black, blue

Must be no more then 80k miles

Do you think I can get what I want given these cars are harder to find now a days

Thanks!

Hey bud, I've been in your situation for about half a year now and just today found the perfect car. I had a set budget like you (16-17k) and kept options open always. For a 9 idk if you'll find one "good enough" for you and the price. But a nice 8 will arise surely. I found a nice 2.3 stroker stock everything else, even turbo, for under 17k and 64k miles and very low miles on the AMS 2.3l. You just have to be patient!

You'll be happy with changing! I actually work for a ford dealership. Someone traded my Evo in on a new explorer. I got it for a steal!

get a really nice 8 for that or if you wait possible a good shape 9. depends on timing and preferences etc. I have an 8, and I wouldnt trade it for a 9 even if I could, but again personal preference.

get rid of the mustang and never look back. i almost bough an 04 comp orange terminator instead of the evo. still LOVE the cobra, sound looks burnouts everything. but for one car, not even close comparison.

You can get a really nice 8 for that price, 9 might be a little bit more tricky depending on miles and such. Best thing I tell everybody is just be patient. Don't jump on the first one you see and ask a million questions if you have to. Broaden your location and search radius as well, that helps a lot. Good luck!
