Possible spark plug cover hazard?

I recently purchased a JM Fabrications Spark plug cover for my 8 and after installing I noticed that it doesn't cover completely what the oem cover does and was a little worried that there is a possibility for water to get inside from this spacing by the wires. Anybody own this cover or have any idea if this is something to worry about or if I'm just being a worry wart? And yes I am aware it is in need of a little clean up but I am currently deployed and obviously cant do it.

I don't think it will be an issue. The spark plug well cover is not water tight and there are a lot of people who run without one at all anyway. I would be more worried about the wiring being so close to your manifold with no heat shield.

Spark plug cover is not there for water resistance, the electrical connectors are already sealed, and the coils to the plugs.

As long as your reframe from high pressure washing your engine, you should be fine.

Don't worry about it, as mentioned the cover isn't there for "waterproof-ness".

Thanks for the replies. I thought it was just cosmetic, just wanted to verify.

Seeing the spark plug cover installed is making me ponder whether I should get one. I also have a white valve cover, but personally in my opinion the cover would look better powder-coated flat black.
