stock intake filter

i live in jersey ( 4 season state ) how long should the stock intake filter last if im using it as a daily driver. mile wise , when should i replace. thankx

Forget about stock filter - you gonna change it for aftermarket anyways.
Otherwise, you can always open the stock box and see if it's black from the dirt. If it is, swap it out.
That would be at least 6 months of driving.
If you buy a used Evo, they will probably have aftermarket intake anyways

ps.
where in jersey are you and what do you currently drive?

i live in union county , i currently do not own a car because i am 16 and im saving for an evo - i turn 17 around next christmas , my brother drives a hooked up 02' wrx , i drive that around , my other friends trying to get a srt4 , and one of my best friends is getting an sti. sorry for being curious

10,000 miles was the last indicator I was aware of for air filters. Depends on your conditions, however. Visual inspection is best.

My suggestion is to get a K&N or Amsoil replacement. I prefer K&N, but check into all options. They last a LONG time, allow air to flow better, and can be cleaned and re-used - follow directions!
