When i have the clutch pressed down and the gas pressed down my rpm's fluctuate around 5.5krpm however if i back off the gas and floor it again(clutch down entire time) it can shoot to 9k limiter.... is that the way it's supposed to work?

 

The car cannot be in motion to activate launch control. Are you rolling a little bit? Try it with the ebrake pulled up and the car preloaded.
